1972 – The beginning of the Wheelmen.
1981 – President Kerry Witt
1982 – President Kevin Christian
1983 – President David Leigh
1985 – Robert Enzerink introduced the DOTS!
– “I remember being at the meeting when the dots were voted on. Beth Vanderliet was president, wearing her nice Eddy Merckx pullover, and I am pretty sure Robert Enzerink walked up at the beginning of the meeting and wrote "Polka Dots" on the board. The rest is history. Before then the old jerseys were wool, mostly green, with the bucking mustang.” – Scott Larwood (alumni)
1986 – We won the WCCC
1987 – We won the WCCC again
1988 – Cal Poly San Luis Obispo holds the first ever Collegiate Road National Championships with our Creston Road Race course and our on campus Criterium. We won conference yet again.
1989 – Derek Steiner was president. He later stayed on as the women's coach from ‘93-97.
1992 – Cal Poly Wheelmen win Best Team Overall at Road Nationals in Rome, Georgia held by Berry College.
-Cal Poly, SLO Women’s time trial team wins at Nationals.
1994 – Alex Smith of Cal Poly, SLO wins the Men’s Cross Country race at the first Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals held in Castaic, CA by Cal Poly, Pomona.
1995 – Julie Henderson of Cal Poly, SLO wins the Women’s Criterium at Road Nationals held in Reno, Nevada by University of Nevada-Reno.
1996 – Cal Poly, SLO hold Collegiate Road Nationals.
– Cal Poly, SLO wins WCCC Mountain Conference.
1998 – Cal Poly, SLO wins WCCC Mountain Conference.
1999 – Lisa Fernandez wins women’s omnium at Road Nationals held in Greenville, South Carolina.
– Cal Poly, SLO wins WCCC Mountain Conference.
2000 – Anthony Medaglia of Cal Poly, SLO is WCCC men’s mountain omnium leader.
– Cal Poly, SLO wins WCCC Mountain Conference.
2001 – Frank Thaxter of Cal Poly SLO is WCCC men’s mountain omnium leader.
-Nicole Marcilac of Cal Poly, SLO is women’s mountain omnium leader.
– Cal Poly, SLO wins WCCC Mountain Conference.
2002 – Ozzie Olmos of Cal Poly, SLO is WCCC men’s mountain omnium leader.
-Corina Bigham of Cal Poly, SLO is WCCC women’s mountain omnium leader.
