- Robert Enzerink introduced the DOTS!
- "I remember being at the meeting when the dots were voted on. Beth Vanderliet was president, wearing her nice Eddy Merckx pullover, and I am pretty sure Robert Enzerink walked up at the beginning of the meeting and wrote "Polka Dots" on the board. - Cal Poly San Luis Obispo holds the first ever Collegiate Road National Championships with our Creston Road Race course and our on campus Criterium.
- We won conference yet again.

- Derek Steiner was president. He later stayed on as the women's coach from ‘93-97.

- Cal Poly Wheelmen win Best Team Overall at Road Nationals in Rome, Georgia held by Berry College.

- Alex Smith of Cal Poly, SLO wins the Men’s Cross Country race at the first Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals held in Castaic, CA by Cal Poly, Pomona.

- Julie Henderson of Cal Poly, SLO wins the Women’s Criterium at Road Nationals held in Reno, Nevada by University of Nevada-Reno.

- Cal Poly, SLO hold Collegiate Road Nationals.

- Lisa Fernandez wins women’s omnium at Road Nationals held in Greenville, South Carolina.
